I WAS very surprised when joining people on the cliffs to watch the firework display on Saturday evening, the 1st September, following the most enjoyable day at the Air Show, to find that public convenience was closed.
This was at 9pm and caused quite a bit of distress to many people. The lights were on which led everyone to believe it was in fact open. There were a lot of very frustrated people trying to open the door.
Surely when there is a late event taking place, which is after 10pm for about 10 minutes, they could be left open. It is not as if this is a weekly occurrence.
Finally, just another complaint - would it be possible to ensure that the clock on the pier is actually showing the correct time, also of course the one in the Square. This all goes against the grain for such a prestigious town.
