A SERIES of crimes were reported across rural East Dorset in the past few weeks.

On August 25, thieves broke into vehicles parked in Pamphill and Kingston Lacy.

Two garden ornaments were stole from properties Sturminster Marshall's Balls Lane and High Street on August 28.

A tractor battery was stolen from Gotham on August 2, while on the same day, would-be thieves tried to take car batteries from Woodlands.

Building materials were stolen from a site in Gussage All Saints the following day. On the same day, September 3, metal was stolen from a property in Holt.

A further theft from a parked vehicle was reported in Eyebridge on September 6, while a hedge in Holt was also damaged.

A farm building in Witchampton was vandalised on September 7.
