A QUARTER peal rang out in Wimborne last week to celebrate one of the town's attractions.
The bells at the Minster church rang for just over an hour to mark a National Lottery grant for the Priest's House Museum.
The museum has been awarded £982,200 to fund improvements.
Ringing master Jack Pease, who volunteers at the museum, conducted the quarter peal.
Bells at the Minster are hung for full circle change ringing, so-called because the bells swing a full 360 degrees and the ringers on the end of each of the ropes learn patterns which alter the order in which the bells ring.
In a quarter peal, there must be at least 1,250 different orders of bells, if any are repeated, the ringers must stop and start again.
The largest bell at the church weighs some 1,500 kilograms.
