FOUR weeks of work will take place in Westbourne from next week.
Work to upgrade traffic signals at Seamoor Road at the junction with Alumhurst Road will begin on Monday at noon.
The work will include installing 11 new poles, nine push buttons, nine new signal heads and “improved accessibility features.”
Bournemouth council said it would enable “more responsive crossing times, adjusting to pedestrian flows.”
The works are expected to take four weeks depending on the condition of underground ducting.
A spokesperson said: “The site is 27 years old and in order to ensure signals remain reliable and safe, replacements are being installed.”
