SUMMER may be behind us but the fun continues across Dorset this weekend with something for everyone. Here's our guide to what's on and where.

1. Poole Blues Festival takes place over the weekend. A host of acts are set to play at more than 20 venues around Poole including The Lord Nelson, The Jolly Sailor, The Rope & Anchor and The Foundry Arms. The event is now in its third year and will feature performances by the likes of Rich Baxter, Chicago 9 and Tracie Redding.

2. Triathletes will push themselves to the limit when the Bournemouth International Triathlon returns on Sunday. The event will see participants complete a sprint or standard challenge which includes a swim and run at Bournemouth beach and a bike ride to Ringwood. There will be trophies handed out to first, second and third place male and female winners of each group.

3. Poole’s largest wedding exhibition returns to the Lighthouse on Sunday between 11am and 3pm. Couples will be able to meet up to 60 local professional wedding suppliers, plus there will be two catwalk shows; one at 12noon and another at 2pm. There will also be live entertainment, a free ‘golden envelopes’ prize draw and a free goody bag for every bride.

4. Classic Cars on the Prom takes place on West Overcliff Promenade, behind the BIC, on Sunday. There will be a host of vehicles on display from before August 1983. Entry is free and the event takes place between 4pm and 6.30pm.

5. Hundreds of cyclists will saddle up for The Rotary Dorset Bike Ride on Sunday in aid of Cancer Research UK. The event starts and finishes at Longthorns Farm and campsite in Wareham and cyclists will take their pick of routes from 10 miles to a gruelling 108-mile ride.

6. Poole’s Upton House is holding an open day on Sunday. The Georgian mansion, which is normally closed to the public, will be open from 12pm to 4.30pm. There will be guided tours available on the day at 12.30pm and 2.30pm which will cost £1.50 per person. All proceeds will go towards funding projects in the House and Country Park.

7. Go back in time to 1646 during the fall of Corfe Castle on Saturday and Sunday. Civil War: Betrayed is a re-enactment giving visitors the chance to experience the events of when the castle was finally taken, led by Lord Hopton's Regiment of Foote, featuring drills and weaponry displays. There will also be musket fire in the castle at three times throughout the day. The event is free but normal admission charges apply. Takes place between 10.30am and 4.30pm.
