A FORMER Poole and Bournemouth schoolgirl aims to scoop the Miss England title when she takes to the stage in Nottingham tonight.
Samantha Bumford already holds the titles of Miss Poole and Miss England Social Media.
But she is aiming for the big one tonight after attending 600 events and raising £30,000 for charity.
Samantha, 25, is a former pupil of Springdale First, Broadstone Middle and Bournemouth Collegiate schools.
She said: “It is all about inner beauty and working with the community. There are 50 people in the final and we have all made dresses for the eco-round. There will also be an evening wear round.”
The contestants are town and county winners and award winners.
An appearance at the Bournemouth Air Festival marked her 600th public appearance since March last year and fund raising activities have included wing walking, abseiling, jumping out of a plane and organising events.
A wide range of charities will benefit from her efforts including the Dorset Cancer Care Foundation and the Dorset Children’s Foundation.
