A WOMAN was evacuated from Studland beach on Friday.
Poole Lifeboat crews were sent from their duty at the Bournemouth Air Festival around 4pm to reports a person had been pulled from the sea.
When they arrived on scene, the casualty was laid on a kayak, with the lifeboat crew sent to shore to assess the woman.
A spokesperson for Poole RNLI said she had swallowed a large amount of water and appeared to have been in the water for some time.
"She was drifting in and out of consciousness and needed to be evacuated from the beach", they added.
Once an ambulance crew had arrived on scene, the casualty was transferred to a National Trust cart and taken to the beach car park where the ambulance was waiting.
The lifeboats were stood down and after refuelling were ready for service by 6.30pm.
