STEVE Riley thinks his side will end their search for a first BGB Southern Premier victory against Banbury United at Bashley Road tonight (7.45pm).

Riley's Bashley have yet to register a win this term, with four draws and a defeat from their opening five fixtures.

But the home game against Banbury provides the perfect opportunity, as the visitors are struggling after wholesale changes during the summer.

Former Newcastle United midfielder Kevin Brock, manager of the Oxfordshire outfit for eight years, quit in the close-season and a number of Banbury's key players also headed for the exit.

The departing players included top scorer Jon Gardner, while United's star striker, former Wycombe Wanderers frontman Andy Baird, has been struggling with a knee problem.

This has seen Bashley's visitors restricted to just five goals in as many games.

"I think we'll do it on Tuesday," Riley told the Daily Echo.

The Bash boss believes his opponents can respond in two ways to their heavy 4-2 home defeat against Yate Town on Saturday.

Riley said: "They'll want to come back and remedy it or they haven't got much confidence, hopefully it will be the latter."
