Amateur photographers are being encouraged to send their pictures for the Daily Echo and Castle Cameras photographic competition.

The popular annual contest invites snappers of all ages to get out their cameras and submit their pictures from the four-day extravaganza, which ran from Thursday, August 30, to Sunday, September 2.

With a host of aircraft in the sky, including the ever-popular Red Arrows, the judges are looking for images that capture the spirit of the air festival.

One of the judges revealed that they are specifically looking for images of people enjoying the event in Bournemouth.

The winner will receive £300 of Castle Cameras vouchers and the runner-up will be awarded £100 worth of Castle Cameras vouchers.

Once you have chosen your best image - only one entry per person and it has to be taken by yourself - send us an email with your name, address and phone number to airfest2018@bournemouthecho.co.uk

The file should be as large as possible, at least 500kb.

All our favourite images will be seen in an online gallery at bournemouthecho.co.uk/air.

The deadline for entries is 12noon on Friday, September 7.

Newsquest competition terms and conditions apply. See newsquest.co.uk/prizecompetition-rules.

The winners’ personal details will be provided to the competition sponsors, for the purpose of facilitating the competition prize.
