GET ready for take off, the Bournemouth Air Festival 2018 begins tomorrow.

Now in its 11th year, the event will feature displays from old favourites the Red Arrows, The Blades and RAF Chinook with first-time appearances from the Breitling Jet Display Team, Jet Suit Display and Super Pitts Muscle Plane.

Plus, there will be spectacular Night Air performances courtesy of Otto the Helicopter and the Twister and Fireflies Pair.

But it’s not all about what’s happening in the air. This year the festival welcomes one of the Royal Navy’s most advanced ships for the first time.

HMS Diamond will be off the coast of Bournemouth throughout the festival and there will be special anchorage boat trips around the Type 45 destroyer.

Leaving Bournemouth Pier, the trips will last around 45-minutes and give people the chance to see the ship from all angles with full commentary from the Royal Navy. Tours run between 10am to 5pm and places are limited.

Tickets are now on sale at £10 for adults and £5 for children aged 10 to 16-years-old from bournemouthair.co.uk or the Bournemouth TIC at Pier Approach.
