A group campaigning for a people's vote on the final Brexit deal will be hosting a meeting in Dorchester next month.

West Dorset for Europe, a voluntary cross-party group, is hosting the meetings in efforts to inform people about the political issues.

The meeting next month is one of a series of meetings being held.

At the meeting in September those in charge or our health services will be speaking about the Government and its preparation for the impact of Brexit.

The NHS meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 19 in the Dorford Centre at 7pm.

All residents are welcome to go along.

Ben Bradshaw the Exeter Labour MP and former Health Minister has confirmed his attendance as has Edward Morello, the Lib Dem PPC for West Dorset and Helen Hancox from the Royal College of Nursing is also in the line-up.

The Group have invited Conservative councillors who have yet to confirm their participation in this really important debate.

Kay Wilcox, chairman of the West Dorset for Europe group said: "We regularly campaign in towns across the county asking people how they think the Brexit negotiations are going. There is a widespread feeling that we are not being well served by our politicians and people feel they should be consulted before such huge final decisions are made about the future of our country."
