FORMER professional drummer Joe Musker raised hundreds of pounds for charity at his 24th annual Drumming4Life event.

Percussion enthusiasts from across the area joined him at Absolute Music in Bournemouth to make music and raise cash for Macmillan Caring Locally in Christchurch and the Youth Cancer Trust in Bournemouth.

Joe started the event in 1983 when he lived in Liverpool and raised money for the nearby Alder Hey children's hospital.

After moving to Bournemouth in 1987 he has since raised cash for a variety of local good causes. Joe also worked for Bournemouth Youth Service for 24 years.

"This is a fun event and people come from all over the place" said Joe. "It is a chance for people of all ages to get involved and hopefully we will have raised a few hundred pounds."
