IN reply to Susie Dean's letter of 23 August, I myself have had similar experiences. I have encountered cyclists going through the Lower Gardens when they're not allowed to; I have also had to avoid cyclists going too fast along the seafront and, when I'm driving, I notice most of them blatantly ignore red lights! The only way that this can be dealt with is if it becomes compulsory for cyclists to wear helmets and a registration number put on the helmet. A small fee would be made for registration and the money given to charitable causes.
