TWO Asda workers in Bournemouth have been recognised after clocking up a staggering 90 years of service between them.
Sandra Bayliss and Sheila Day, who work as shop floor assistants at the Asda Castlepoint Superstore, have worked for the supermarket giant for a total of 45 years each.
The women were both recognised for their longstanding years of service at Asda’s Big Anniversary Awards.
Sandra Bayliss, who started working for the company in 1973, said: “I can’t believe how quickly the last 45 years have flown by and it’s really nice to see that we’re all one big Asda family and such a big part of the local community.
“It’s really special to be able to share this service anniversary with Sheila, who has been with me from the start.”
Wayne Bailey, general store manager at Asda Castlepoint, said: “The collective total of 90 years of long service is outstanding – we pride ourselves on giving top-rate service to our customers and this would not be possible without the hard work and dedication from all of our colleagues.”
