The Dorchester Strollers recently held one of its special 90-minute walks.

This time it was from Weymouth starting on Dorchester Road opposite the Nottington turning.

The route took walkers across Lorton Lane, by Upwey Railway Station and then under the railway bridge to climb up above Littlemoor to enjoy wonderful views towards Dorchester and then towards Portland.

The route skirted Teddy Bear Woods and down onto the edge of Lodmoor and round past the Rugby Club to tea at Sainsbury's.

Dorchester Strollers is an accredited Walking for Health Group offering two regular walk occasions each week on Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons.

On each occasion a short walk of up to 45 minutes and a longer, faster walk of up to 60 minutes is offered.

The walks are free and led by specially trained leaders.

The Strollers will be participating in Dorchester's Picnic in the Park - Living Well, Loving Nature, on Saturday, September 8. The event will be held in the Borough Gardens from 11am until 3pm and the group will be offering taster walks.
