THERE will be three new bars and food places for hungry visitors to the Air Festival in Bournemouth in this year.

A summer beach bar will be set-up next to Bournemouth Pier as well as pop-up areas on the East Cliff and in the Lower Gardens.

Last year, more than 700,000 people flocked to Bournemouth for the popular show.

Across the Bournemouth Air Festival weekend, Seventa Events will put on a summer beach bar next to the pier, which will serve an array of drinks including cocktails and mocktails.

There will also be local street food traders, serving from beach shacks offering delicious dishes such as mac ‘n’ cheese, loaded fries, beach burgers, and frozen yoghurt.

The beach bar will also be open during the August bank holiday weekend.

The new venue on East Overcliff Drive will be vintage style, with a covered area, cocktail bar, relaxed seating and laid-back entertainment.

Food choices will include crepes and fresh fruit as well as a coffee stand, takeaway drinks and Prosecco and beer.

The bar in the Lower Gardens will be quintessentially English in style, with gin, Prosecco and cocktails on offer as well as garden games including croquet and ring toss.

Simon Brooks, Founder and Managing Director of Seventa Events, said: "We’re delighted to be delivering three unique areas in three incredible locations from which people can take in the dazzling displays of the Bournemouth Air Festival.

"The Bournemouth Air Festival is quite simply an incredible event and we are just playing a small part in this by creating some unique areas for people to enjoy the festival.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors into these three attractions and invite people to keep an eye on our Facebook page for more information."

Michelle Roberts, Air Festival communications officer said: "With hundreds of thousands of people expected at this year’s air festival, we are pleased to be working with Seventa to enhance our overall visitor experience. We are really excited about their colourful, fun and festive plans and can’t wait to see them in action."

The Bournemouth Air Festival will take place from Thursday August 30 until Sunday September 2.
