ONCE again you have highlighted the situation regarding the lack of public toilet facilities on Poole Quay by publishing a letter from a visitor from Wales. The fact that the person went to the trouble to seek out the local paper to write to shows the strength of feeling there is about this issue.
Whenever I am on the Quay I am often asked by visitors where the public toilets are and when told there are none, they react with disbelief.
The signed toilets at Dolphin Quays are invariably closed, as your letter writer found out, and the only other facilities are in commercial premises that people are reluctant to use, even if they are aware of where they are, which is not obvious.
Attracting so many visitors, it is a very negative aspect and a facility that everyone needs so the council are extremely short-sighted in not providing this.
