One person has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two people were found with stab wounds in Southbourne last night.
Police were called to Burleigh Road at 7.50pm on Friday night following reports of a disturbance.
They found a man and a woman with stab wounds. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.
A second man, aged 48, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is assisting officers with enquiries.
A cordon has been set up at two addresses to allow officers to investigate the scene and enquiries remain ongoing.
Residents reported seeing a large police presence in the road, with at least six police cars and an ambulance.
There were also reports of armed police.
Officers have been making door-to-door enquiries.
