NO plans for the weekend yet? There's plenty going on across Dorset and the New Forest including fireworks, family fun and a food festival. Here's our guide to what's on where.

1. Proms in the Park kicks off from today. The spectacular event will see three outdoor concerts take place in Meyrick Park over the next three days. Families are invited to the Relaxed Thursday event this afternoon from 4pm to enjoy a performance by the Mini BSO and disabled-led ensemble, BSO Resound. On Friday, the orchestra’s Classical Extravaganza will bring the most popular and recognisable pieces of classical music to life in a concert with lasers, lights, pyrotechnics and fireworks. Proms in the Park will culminate with a celebration of all things seventies on Saturday. The Disco Symphonic Spectacular will see the BSO perform disco tracks by the likes of the Bee Gees, Earth Wind and Fire and Donna Summer. Strictly Come Dancing’s Lance Ellington will join the BSO with three other West End singers to perform some disco classics.

2. The Ellingham Show comes to Somerley Park Estate in Ringwood on Saturday. The popular event features a horse show, livestock, heavy horses, donkeys, vintage vehicles and a dog show with 13 different classes to enter. Plus there will be a horticultural marquee where people will have the chance to show off their homemade produce ranging from vegetables and fruit to pot plants and flowers. Gates open at 8.30am and the event runs until 5.30pm.

3. There will be fireworks on Poole Quay tonight as part of Rockley’s Summer Spectacular. Entertainment takes place from 7pm with a firework finale at 10pm. Then in Bournemouth on Friday, there will be free fireworks over the Pier from 10pm.

4. Following on from its success in 2017, the Lymington Seafood Festival returns this weekend. The two-day event takes place in Bath Road Park and will feature more than 85 local artisan producers. Foodies will be able to enjoy seafood stalls, local gins, live music and demonstrations from some of the region's leading chefs as well as an appearance from 2016 Masterchef winner Jane Devonshire. Takes place between 11am and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Colehill Fun Day, at Colehill Sport & Social Club in Wimborne Road, will feature bouncy castles, food and cake stalls, craft stalls, music and dance. Entry is free and the event takes place between 11am and 5pm.
