FANS of the Red Arrows will be treated to an early glimpse of the world-famous display team today ahead of the Bournemouth Air Festival later this month.

The Red Arrows will be calling at Bournemouth Airport at 4.49pm after flying in from RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire.

They will then leave Bournemouth at 7.20pm before doing a display as part of Cowes Week and returning to Hurn at 8.05pm.

Then on Saturday, the Reds will depart Bournemouth Airport at 12.10pm for Aldergrove.

People will be able to see the popular aerobatic team in action at the 11th Bournemouth Air Festival which runs between August 30 and September 2.

They will be performing at 5.30pm (moved from 5pm) on the Thursday, 3pm on Friday and 12pm on Saturday.

The display is being sponsored by World Fuel Services.

Other aircraft set to take to the skies include the Breitling Jet Team, RAF Chinook, Super Pitts Muscle Plane, the Tigers Parachute Display Team and Team Raven.

As reported in the Daily Echo last week, the record-breaking Gravity Jet Suit Display Team will be making their debut at the event.

They will be flying in front of thousands of spectators on the seafront on the Friday and Saturday.
