'ESSENTIAL' maintenance to a bridge near Wimborne continues this week with overnight road closures.
Engineers from Highways England are replacing joints in the bridge which carries the B3073 Oakley Hill over the A31. Oakley Hill will be closed between 9pm and 6am from Monday to Thursday, reopening on Friday morning.
A diversion will take motorists round via the town centre.
The agency is also resurfacing the A31 at Ashley Heath roundabout as part of its ongoing year-long refurbishment of the trunk road.
The work will see the eastbound lanes closed from the roundabout to the Ringwood interchange between the same hours, from Monday to Friday, reopening on Saturday morning.
A diversion will be in place via the A338, Castle Lane East, A35 and A336.
