A MAN has appeared in court in connection with a reported stabbing in Boscombe.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.30pm on Friday, July 27, that a man had been found with stab wounds in Christchurch Road, near to the junction with Gloucester Road.

The man reported that he had been attacked by two men who were known to him in a nearby alleyway, which leads to Corpus Christi Church. His injuries were not life threatening and he has now left hospital.

A 31-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested and has now been charged with wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

He appeared before Poole Magistrates’ Court yesterday and is next due to appear before Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, August 30.
