POLICE arrested a 17-year-old boy after a police officer was assaulted and a knife was seized in Boscombe last night.
Officers stopped a vehicle in Christchurch Road, Boscombe around 2.55am this morning.
Three male occupants were seen to get out of the car and make off.
After a search, which included the police helicopter, officers went to detain one of the male suspects in Knyveton Road and during the course, an officer was assaulted.
A knife was also recovered near to where the male suspect was detained.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and assaulting a constable in the execution of his or her duty and is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
A vehicle was later stopped in Hampshire and two women were arrested.
