DORSET-based animal rescue charity Margaret Green is hoping to find forever homes for six animals in its care this week.

Roxy is an 11-year-old cat who was found as a stray. She is very friendly and affectionate and should be fine to live with older children but would prefer to be the only cat.

Billy the cat is believed to be around 13-years-old. His owner passed away and he has previously been a stray. He is described as a “sweet gentleman” who is looking for a quiet life and would prefer to be the only pet.

Another cat looking for a permanent home is Maggie. She is eight-years-old and can be very friendly and outgoing when meeting new people. Maggie could live with a friendly dog and older children but would prefer to be the only cat.

Poppy is a four-year-old female Pug cross. Enthusiastic about life, Poppy loves cuddles and being around people and can be very affectionate. She would be best suited as the only pet in the home and can live with teenagers.

Two-year-old male Greyhound, Popeye, has good manners and a friendly happy character. He can run very fast and could live with other medium-sized dogs and upwards and older children but would be best suited to a home without cats.

Finally, there’s Echo. A seven-year-old male whippet cross who is very eager to please. Echo has got a very gentle nature and is well mannered. He can live with other dogs and teenagers but not with cats.
