ICONIC trance brand Gatecrasher returns on Saturday, October 13 to the former Opera House (now 02 Academy) for a night of goose-bump-tingling trance nostalgia featuring classical arrangements of favourite tracks performed live with a 40 piece orchestra.
Hosted by one of the most well respected and much loved trance DJs; Judge Jules, Gatecrasher Classical is set to be a night to remember.
Influential DJ Scott Bond has curated a special night that will take clubbers on a trip down memory lane, back to the golden era of trance. Included in the bill are live performances of Jan Johnston’s Skydive, Merle Forbes Bullet in a Gun and the incredibly powerful vocals of Marcella Woods.
Described as ‘classics immortalised’, Gatecrasher Classical will feature tracks from Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, DJ Tiesto, Energy 52, Faithless, Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk and more.
Gatecrasher owner, Simon Raine said: “Dance music, particularly trance, has a large classical influence so it’s most suited to a classical version. Gatecrasher Classical is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Don’t be fooled by the word classical; the show features a full club sound system complemented by an array of 50 lasers by recent Las Vegas world record holders. Gatecrasher Classical is more than a classical show, it’s like space travel only better, an experience you will want to relive, people get ready!”
