RAIL passengers are facing major delays to and from London Waterloo this afternoon.
Emergency services have been dealing with an “incident” between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction which resulted in all lines being blocked.
Trains were unable to run to and from London Waterloo and services may be cancelled or revised.
All lines have now been reopened but disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Passengers have been told to allow for delays of up to 60 minutes, alterations and cancellations to journeys this evening.
National Rail said earlier: “In order to ensure the safety of the emergency services, and of all trains, passengers and crews, all trains in this area have to stop and will be at a stand until a safe operating environment has been re-established.
"The power supply has also been isolated in order that the emergency services may conduct their work safely.”
Passengers can use their tickets on the following services:
• Southern and Thameslink services via any reasonable route
• Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Reading
• London Underground between London Waterloo and Richmond/Wimbledon and between London Terminal stations
• London Buses between London Waterloo and Staines/Teddington/Surbiton/Ewell
