THE man accused of murdering Venezuelan bank worker Stela Marisabel Domador-Kuzma appeared at Poole Magistrate’s Court earlier today.
Ryan Justin Thornton, aged 20, from Bournemouth, appeared in the dock on crutches, flanked by security guards.
He spoke only to confirm his name and address.
During the short hearing, presided over by District Judge Stephen Nicholls, the court was told how police had been called by the ambulance service, at 5am on Sunday, July 8, to the area of Richmond Hill, Bournemouth, in response to reports a man had been found with stab wounds.
Prosecuting, Charles Nightingale, told the court that following enquires Stela’s body was found in her flat at Richmond Gardens.
Solicitor James Moore represented the defendant.
Thornton was remanded in custody until his next appearance, set for Winchester Crown Court on Monday, July 16.
Stela fled soaring crime rates in Venuzuela three years ago in search of a better life.
