CHERRIES’ new boy David Brooks has been “really impressive” in training, according to midfielder Andrew Surman.
The former Sheffield United star has worked alongside his new team-mates for a week since securing a £10million move to Vitality Stadium.
Surman told the Daily Echo: “He has been really impressive in training. He will take time to learn the way things are done here.
“He has a great left foot, is very tricky and can go both ways. He can manipulate the ball really well, so, if he is playing on the right, it will suit him.
“He’s a really nice lad and has fitted in straight away. We have a great bunch of lads here, so it has been quite easy for him to come and slot in.
“He had a good season last year with Sheffield United. He has shown what he can do in training already, so I am looking forward to seeing him this season.”
Brooks and Surman will both be looking to start Cherries’ Premier League opener at home against Cardiff on Saturday, August 11 (3pm).
