RESIDENTS are invited to attend a further meeting to discuss plans for a new parish council for Highcliffe and Walkford.
Organised by Highcliffe Residents' Association (HRA), the session to discuss the Community Governance Review proposals takes place from 7pm on Monday, July 16 at The Old School, 254 Lymington Road.
The association is keen for anyone who might be willing to serve as a parish councillor to attend the meeting.
Earlier this month HRA hosted a meeting to inform residents about the proposals for new parish councils.
Members at the meeting encouraged HRA to support the creation of a parish authority for the area.
Christchurch Borough Council has put the plans out for public consultation, which suggest creating a Highcliffe and Walkford Parish, a second for Mudeford, Friars Cliff and Stanpit, and one for Christchurch Town.
