GLITZ, glamour and retro chic will be heading to quay as Poole Goes Vintage.

The popular event, dedicated to music, dance, fashion and classic cars of the 1940s and 1950s returns to the town for the fourth year on Sunday, July 15. Organised by Poole Tourism working with vintage events specialist Real Vintage, the event is part of Poole’s Wave105 Summertime in the South events.

Visitors will be able to jive and jitterbug to a soundtrack of swing, jive, rockabilly, rhythm & blues from 11am-7pm, with an eclectic range of performances on the day including soloist Jax Hall who will wow the crowds with a post-modern jukebox performance. The Aphrodites are returning alongside Rip it Up, plus, headliners Rockin The Joint.

Hosted by Forest Holme and Bombshell Chic, visitors can also indulge in a feast of flowing frocks and dapper suits as fabulous fashions from the 40’s and 50’s take to the runway for two spectacular showcases of the timeless styles of the era.

Poole Goes Vintage will welcome more than 30 traders, more than ever before, plus a dedicated 1940’s military area, while a swing DJ and additional music area manned by DJ’s Vanessa and Vernon, who will be playing Rock N Roll, soul and more.
