DORSET’S own Steven Spurrier joins TV wine expert Oz Clarke at this year’s Dorset Wine Festival, at 10 Castle Street in Cranborne which takes place this weekend, July 7-8.

Steven owns Bride Valley Vineyard and will be giving a talk and book signing of his memoirs Wine A Way of Life on the Sunday.

Other highlights include Pol Roger Champagne who are giving a tasting masterclass, and Gritchie Brewery Company (owned by film director Guy Ritchie) who are launching English Lore, their first traditional craft beer, alongside a WWII bus converted into a bar.

The festival spotlight for 2018 is South Africa, with wine from the Western Cape featuring prominently in the 140 or so wines on offer. Organisers promise informative and entertaining talks throughout the day from a wide variety of international wine experts, producers, growers and wine makers. Attendees can expect samplings, pairings and talks along with live entertainment, art displays and a selection of dining options.

As a special offer for Daily Echo readers, Dorset Wine Festival is giving away five pairs of tickets for Sunday.

All you have to do is answer the following question and email your answer along with your name and contact number to naz@dorsetwinefestival.com under the heading Echo Reader Offer by midnight Friday, July 6.
