FEEDER was always going to be a tough act to follow after a cracking set on Saturday night.

However, Waiting For Earthquakes, The Bad Flowers and The Intercepteurs were a great way to get things going on Sunday.

The saying ‘there’s something for everyone’ could not have been more apt with the contrast between DD Allen and Dead highlighting the variety of acts on the line-up.

Punk, ska, rock, pop and metal were all on offer and thankfully you didn’t have to walk far to choose whichever one you fancied.

Come early evening and it was time to start ramping up to the finale with some of the better-known bands gracing the main stage.

INME, Spector and Skamageddon all delivered outstanding sets that had people up and moving.

I then moved to the Vocalzone stage to catch The Bottom Line who put on their usual high-octane show that filled the tent and had people watching through the entrance.

After catching as much of the set as possible I took my place to watch the always-wonderful The Magic Numbers. A quick bit of food and some high energy Ska-Punk from Sonic Boom Six and it was time for Ash.

The festival has grown rapidly in the last three years and it’s a testament to the efforts of the organisers and all of its supporters that a band of this calibre is now bookable to come and play the main stage.

Kung Fu, Teenage Kicks and Girl From Mars were all there leading to a flame filled Burn Baby Burn to close out the main stage for the weekend.

This was a blinding finale to a brilliant weekend of music, sun and fun that has been enjoyed by thousands of people.

That on its own would be more than good enough for anyone. There is of course a more serious side to the event of course with a fundraising drive to raise awareness money for the Teddy20 charity.

Last year the amount raised was £76,000 making £167,000 in total over the years.

This year’s total reached an amazing £83,742 meaning that the grand total has now £250,000.

All of this has been made possible by the efforts of a core team that are joined by an army of sponsors and volunteers every year to make this possible.

Once again the team have put on an outstanding event and here’s hoping it continues on for many years to come.
