A POST-MORTEM examination has failed to reveal the cause of the death of a two-month-old girl.
A murder inquiry was launched following the death of the baby on Saturday February 3 in Poole.
A spokesman for Dorset Police told the Daily Echo: "An initial post-mortem examination was carried out on Tuesday February 6 and the cause of death remains unascertained pending further tests."
An ambulance crew was called to Sunnyside Road in Upper Parkstone at 7.30am on Saturday. The crew alerted police because the baby was not breathing.
A 28-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both from Poole, were arrested on suspicion of murder and have been released under investigation while police inquiries continue.
