CCTV images have been released after a window of a bus was smashed with an emergency escape hammer.

Police are appealing for help to identify two men following the criminal damage incident in Bournemouth last week.

They say two men are reported to have used an emergency escape hammer to shatter the rear window on the top deck of a Yellow Bus as it travelled along Castle Lane East near to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital on Wednesday January 17.

PC Steve Boston of Dorset Police, said: "Following enquiries, I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of the two suspects and I would urge anyone who recognises them to please contact Dorset Police.

"This mindless damage has caused Yellow Buses expense and inconvenience.

"They would like to reiterate that all their buses are fitted with CCTV cameras and they will support prosecutions against anyone responsible for causing damage or anti-social behaviour on board."
