POLICE officers are continuing their efforts to find missing Alzheimer’s sufferer Andrew Latcham who has been missing for four days.

Following a multi-agency intensive ground search over the New Year period, search efforts are continuing involving local and specialist officers.

The searches continue to be focussed around the Blandford area and along the River Stour and, today, a specialist drone unit has been scouring the area. Posters have also been distributed at prominent locations in the town.

Andrew, aged 70, was last seen on CCTV leaving supported accommodation on Park Road in Blandford at around 3.30am on Saturday, December 30. He was wearing dark trainers with white soles, tracksuit bottoms and a dark raincoat.

Inspector Danny Thompson, of North Dorset police, said: “We want to assure the public that our efforts are still ongoing and we are making every effort to locate Andrew.

“We are continuing to support Andrew’s family at this difficult time.

“Members of the public can assist by searching their outbuildings and gardens, if they have not already done so. We would always urge residents never to put themselves in any danger when carrying out any searches.

“Our plea still stands for any information in relation to Andrew’s whereabouts since he was last seen and we would like to thank all those who have shared our appeals so far.”
