BOURNEMOUTH schoolchildren took to the stage and showed they have really got talent.

The pupils of Avonwood Primary School wowed audiences when they showed off an array of many different performance skills in their own ‘Got Talent’ show.

It saw youngsters from Years 1, 2 and 3 demonstrate gymnastic, karate and dance skills, while singers took on numbers from hit shows like Beauty and the Beast and Matilda.

Head of Avonwood, Chris Jackson, said: "The talent on show was incredible and it was impossible to pick a winner – they were all fantastic.

"So much hard work has gone into this production which was organised and choreographed by a team of teaching assistants, led by Stacey Gilbert.

"Our parents gave the children a much deserved, rapturous standing ovation."
