The picture of Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital, formerly the Strathallan, in Owls Road, Bournemouth, printed on November 20 brought back fond memories for former nurse Ann Parnaby.
After doing her nurse training she was employed by an agency to work at Strathallan private hospital in the 1950s.
Ann said, "It was 'an eye opener' working in private nursing, patients expected you to do so much more for them."
Despite this Ann enjoyed her nursing career, caring for those in private health as well as those in the NHS at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Boscombe.
