NEW CCTV images have been released of missing teenager Gaia Pope less than an hour before she disappeared.

Today, Thursday, police divers are searching a lake in Swanage.

It comes as police reveal the jacket she was wearing in the new pictures was found at an address in Manor Gardens.

She was last seen without it, in a red checked shirt with white buttons.

Gaia, 19, from Langton Matravers, was staying at an address in Swanage when she disappeared on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 7.

Less than an hour before her last confirmed sighting at 3.39pm, she was being driven between Langton Matravers and Swanage by a family member when they stopped off for fuel at St Michael's Garage on Valley Road in Swanage.

Gaia went into the garage to buy an ice cream at around 2.55pm.

Today, Thursday, police have refused to confirm whether a vehicle has been seized as part of the investigation into her disappearance.

The images were released as Gaia's mother Natasha issued a desperate plea on Facebook for people to keep searching for her daughter.

She said: "Deepest gratitude and thanks. Desperation accumulative. Keep our heads and never give up. We all need Gaia back so she can follow through on her life plan.

"Her talents are cross the board. Society stands to gain massively by getting her back. Gaia is dynamic, fun, exceptionally intelligent, compassionate and loving. Gaia is special indeed, so we best crack on discover the truth of things so we may bring her home very soon."

In a separate post, she wrote: Backs of vans, in garages, somewhere she could be hidden, against her will.

"In a house. Keep looking, be bold with respect. Thank you. Keep senses sharp. Help us bring her back. Can't bear it."

Senior Investigating Office Neil Devoto, of Dorset Police's Major Crime Investigation Team, said: "We believe Gaia was wearing the same grey and white woven leggings and white trainers, but was last seen in a red checked shirt with white buttons.

“When she disappeared she was not wearing the black jacket pictured, which was recovered at an address in Manor Gardens.”

"Our search efforts are continuing and I would again appeal to the public that if they have any information, however small, that could lead us to finding Gaia, please get in touch.

"Finally, I would like to offer my thoughts to Gaia's family and friends in what is an incredibly difficult time for them. It has been over a week since she went missing and we are doing all we can in order to find her."

The search to find Gaia is continuing today with teams focusing all their efforts inland in Swanage and the surrounding area, supported by Dorset Search and Rescue and specialist units from neighbouring police forces.

A Facebook page, Find Gaia, has been relaunched to mobilise support for the search.

It said those behind the group are grateful for the help they have received from members of the public but said only “logistics related to bringing Gaia home” will be posted and that comments will no longer be used.

It said updates will be posted more regularly and revealed that search efforts continued on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

“With no evidence to suggest Gaia is still not out there, search efforts continued. We targeted transport links around the time of Gaia’s last known whereabouts, with a group of dedicated volunteers. Thanks from the entire Find Gaia community team.”

Search warrants have been taking place at two addresses in Swanage since Monday, November 13. Scenes are likely to remain in place for some time.

A 19-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman, both from the Swanage area, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

They are both known to Gaia. They have both been released under investigation.

Police have urged those with information to call 101 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
