POLICE hunting two men who threatened a group of children in a Bournemouth park have released CCTV images in a bid to solve the crime.

Four boys and two girls, all aged around 16-years-old, were approached by two men who demanded cash, claiming they had acid and a knife.

They stole money and a vape smoking device from the teenagers and one attempted to steal a bicycle.

They ran off when one of the group approached nearby members of the public for help[.

The incident took place as the group were playing football in Kings Park at around 8.30pm on Sunday July 16.

No one was physically injured and no weapon was seen.

Detective Constable Sara Watts, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We have carried out a large number of enquiries in a bid to locate these two men. As a result of CCTV enquiries, I am now in a position to release CCTV images of the suspects in a bid to identify them.

“I am appealing to anyone who recognises these two men to please contact Dorset Police.

“I would also ask anyone else with information about this incident to please come forward.”
