RAIL users faced delays in the New Forest this afternoon due to a broken down train on the Brockenhurst to Lymington line.
The train came to a stop near Lymington Town train station around 1pm.
South Western Railway said a team had been sent out to examine the train.
Repairs were carried out on the defective train and the local service was resumed within two hours.

A spokesperson for South Western Railway said: "We are sorry for the disruption to passenger journeys. This was due to a broken down train at Lymington Pier which was reported shortly before 1pm.
"Engineers attended the site and services resumed shortly before 3pm."
The first journey following the delays was the 2.44pm service from Lymington Pier to Brockenhurst.
