POP fans embroiled in the axed Olly Murs concert debacle are still suffering, despite the X Factor star offering tickets for alternative gigs.

The singer, who was due to perform at Bournemouth's King's Park on August 5, offered up tickets to shows in Portsmouth and Swansea after concert promoter Stephen McManus' company - Stephen C Associates Ltd - went bust.

Olly said: "Anyone that hasn't been offered a refund from their original ticketing company can get their ticket swapped with a replacement one to either of the shows."

However, fans are still finding it difficult to get their hands on these alternative tickets.

Fan Kate Parker said no telephone numbers have been published to help those affected make the exchange.

Meanwhile, Jim Kearns, from West Parley, said: "I don't think Olly has done anywhere near enough. I contracted when I bought my ticket to be entertained at a concert in Kings Park not Swansea or Portsmouth.

"He and his team have broken that contract.

"I still think the guy is a decent human being but I do believe he is receiving bad advice and he needs to sort out his team.

"If he ever comes back to Bournemouth I for one will not be buying tickets."

Promoter Stephen McManus insists he has been working with ticketing agencies to secure ticket refunds.

Mr McManus had agreed to meet with the Daily Echo on Monday but pulled out of the meeting, and would only provide comment via email.

Mr McManus, who has operated previous events companies that have also gone into liquidation, claimed to have "worked diligently and honestly" to put on the Bournemouth show.

On the matter of who has the missing money, Mr McManus said: "A lot of the ticket money was retained by ticket agents and this money was not paid over to our company, this is standard practice in the concert industry.

"The balance of the monies received was paid out in deposits to suppliers, marketing and for other related operational expenditure for these events.

"My family and I have personally experienced abuse and threats and so too have my ex-employees. I would like to assure all concerned that we are doing everything possible in our power to try and resolve the current situation."
