FIREFIGHTERS closed off Bournemouth Arcade this afternoon after an alarm was activated.
Shoppers were stopped from entering the Victorian arcade, between Old Christchurch Road and Westover Road, just before 2pm.
The crew closed the gates to the public for around 15 minutes while the premises was investigated.
However no action was needed by the firefighters.
