AN INTERNATIONAL ultrarunner who founded an online business has turned it into a high street shop.

XMiles UK, an online endurance sports store specialising in nutrition, was set up in December 2015 by Anthony Clark.

A member of Bournemouth Athletic Club, he was part of the winning England Athletics Ultra Running Team at the 2016 Anglo Celtic Plate – a 100k road race in the home counties.

Now XMiles’ store and HQ has opened at 2A Leigh Road, Wimborne.

It sells brands including Tailwind, Torq, SIS, Clif, Mountain Fuel, Nunn, Saltstic, as well as providing detailed nutritional advice for runners.

A mobile events store also makes regular appearances at running, cycling and triathlon events across Dorset and further afield.

It works with race organisers such as Dorset-based White Star Running, BustinSkin Events and local clubs.

There are regular running groups based at the store and a programme of events.

Mr Clark, who had a career in IT before training as a nutrition adviser, was recently selected to run for England in the 10k Ultrarunning Team at the 23rd Anglo Celtic Plate 100k in Patrington, near Hull, on May 21.
