CHILDREN going through bereavement looked around the Vitality Stadium as part of their selection as the Junior Cherries' chosen charity.

Mosaic – Supporting Bereaved Children, which helps young people in Dorset struggling with grief, have been chosen as the official AFC Bournemouth Junior Cherries charity for the 2016/17 season.

Some of the kids were given the chance to be flag bearers at the AFC Bournemouth’s Premier League match against Watford at Vitality Stadium on Saturday, January 21.

Margaret Hannibal MBE, the CEO of the charity, said: "Events such as these have a huge emotional impact upon the Mosaic children and their families. It not only gives them permission to have fun, but it also demonstrates that they are recognised and valued as bereaved individuals by the wider community."

The children also collected a cheque for money raised from a raffle at a Junior Cherries open training session held last year.
