BIKERS have not long to wait before the return of the South's biggest two-wheel extravaganza - Beaulieu's Motorcycle World Taking place on Saturday and Sunday June 23 and 24, Motorcycle World is expected to attract in excess of 30,000 visitors.

In the Arena visitors will be able to see the exciting new and classic machines being put through their paces and watch stunt riders and their favourite motorcylce heroes take to the track and fly past on a lap of the demonstration circuit.

There is the promise of something for all the family with displays by the Royal Signals White Helmets on British Millennium Triumph 750cc motorcycles, and the Solent Eagles Children's Display Team with a programme of breathtaking jumps, fast crossovers and the spectacular cross over fire jump plus demonstrations on the grass circuit, of off-road and speedway sections.

A packed programme of events in the Arena will feature Graeme Crosby, Suzuki works rider on F1 and 500GP, plus Paul and Scott Smart, and Roger Hurst, ex-Kawasaki works rider.

The Vintage Motor Cycle Club will ride a selection of classic racers, while Dave Myers - one half of the Hairy Bikers celebrity motorcycling chefs - will be riding one of the late Joey Dunlop's TT machines.

The Grass Circuit will be bussing with action of a different kind with Danebury Grasstrack and Waterside Trials clubs contributing with their exciting displays throughout both days, with riders of all ages taking part. The Isle of Wight and Poole Speedway will also be in attendance.

Grass track stars include Motocross ace, Vince Page and Quad rider Andy Heitman. Watch sidecar action with Ivor Matthews, British Sidecar Speedway Champion, 2004, and Joint Champion 2005, performing with Ritchie Moore as Team Skeleton and watch out for up and coming side-car star Wayne Read, performing on Sunday.

Don't miss the Original Wall of Death, believed to be the oldest surviving wall of death in the UK. Originally built in 1928, it is the same age as the Indian Scout motorbikes used to ride the wall.

Motorcycle World welcomes for the first time, the Extreme Globe Riders, a spectacular heart-stopping motorcycle stunt show taking place inside a 6m diameter globe.

Visitors to Motorcycle World will be the first to see an exhibition celebrating 100 years of the Isle of Man TT, featuring images from a unique collection of TT races of the 1920s & 30s, owned by the late Graham Walker, first motorcycle curator of the National Motor Museum and father of commentator Murray Walker.

Impressive displays from leading motorcycle clubs will be brought together in one easy to explore section of the event as well as a new improved Manufacturer's village, showcasing the leading marquees, the latest machines and race teams including Ducatti, Victory, Kawasaki, KTM and Triumph. There will be hundreds of stands offering leather wear, helmets and biking accessories plus a new, dedicated motorcycle jumble area for that elusive part for your renovation project.

Motorcycle World, supported by Two Wheels Only, opens at 10am on both days.
