GOADSBY'S Hotels & Leisure division has sold two properties in the Knyveton Gardens area of Bournemouth.
Both businesses provide assisted care. Each has been purchased for an alternative use.
Sunnydene, 11 Spencer Road, has reverted to a private hotel. Comprising 11 letting rooms (seven en-suite) and a two-bedroom ground floor owners flat, Sunnydene was purchased by a local hotelier.
Anderson House, 3 Knyveton Road, has been acquired for New Forest development company Landmark Estates, which is currently re-developing 7 Knyveton Road into a block of 10 purpose built flats.
It is understood Landmark intends to convert Anderson House into residential flats.
Goadsby divisional director, Ian Palmer, said: "In the case of Sunnydene it is pleasing to see a hotel reverting back to its former use which reflects current demand in that sector of the market.
"Given the prevalence of redevelopment in recent years, such as 3 Knyveton Road, it is now quite the norm for hotels to command equally high values for their existing use as one could expect to achieve from a developer."
