BOURNEMOUTH'S Westover Nissan is getting behind rising speedway superstar Brendan Johnson.
The 14-year-old, Ashdown Technology College student from Canford Heath, is now one of just five fully-fledged junior members of local speedway teams, the Poole Pirates and the Somerset Rebels.
Westover Nissan is helping towards the £15,000 a year that it costs Brendan and his father Dave to prepare and run his two 500cc speedway bikes.
Westover Nissan sales manager Paul Hughes said: "We're delighted to be able to help Brendan pursue his speedway dreams and hope this is the first competitive season of many for him. We wish him all the best for the forthcoming season."
