A DRUG dealer who hid a wrap of heroin inside a Kinder Egg has been jailed for two-and-a-half-years.
Darren Ginbey was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, May 12, after being found guilty of two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
The court heard that on June 11 last year police executed a warrant at the 46-year-old Bournemouth man’s home on Palmerston Road.
Officers discovered four wraps of class A drugs with a street value of around £1,000.
Ginbey was stopped again seven days later and a subsequent search of him discovered 10.74 grams of heroin hidden inside a Kinder Egg.
PC Andy Lowe, of Bournemouth police, said: "We are working hard to disrupt and make it difficult for drug dealers to operate in Boscombe.
"The message I hope this case gets across is that we will continue to frustrate those who come here to deal drugs, you will be prosecuted and you could face a lengthy prison sentence.
"Drug dealing will not be tolerated in our community and anyone who has concerns should contact their local Neighbourhood Policing Team."
