A CAR has crashed into a telegraph pole in North Dorset.

Emergency services were called to the A357 Blandford Road, near Enford Farm in Durweston, at 3.40pm following reports of the one-vehicle incident.

A Dorset Police spokesman said that the car involved was a blue Toyota Yaris registered to a Blandford woman.

The spokesman said no injuries were sustained, but that an ambulance had been called to the scene as a precaution.

One lane is blocked following the incident, resulting in long traffic queues developing.
