SEVERAL Dorset and New Forest venues have made the prestigious Sunday Times Ultimate 100 British Hotels list, published today.
The Pig on the Beach at Studland, which was the list's hotel of the year in 2014, is in the seaside category.
The paper said that the hotel was "pretty much booked solid until January and we're not surprised".
The Captain's Club at Christchurch makes it into the family category, being praised for its "sleek architecture', "swanky spa" and its location.
In the New Forest, both the Lime Wood Hotel and the Chewton Glen make it into the country section.
In west Dorset, Summer Lodge at Evershot is included in the same category.
The Seaside Boarding House near Bridport is included in the Romantic section, while Dorset House at Lyme Regis makes it into the B&B category.
